## How It Feels Marksmanship is the sharpshooter who fires the one decisive shot from far away. With bow, crossbow or gun you take aim, wait a moment and then release a hit that knocks enemies off their feet. In between, quick volleys pelt the target. It feels calmer and more deliberate than Beast Mastery. Some of your shots need a short cast time, so positioning matters. If you like waiting for the perfect moment for the big hit, this is your spec. ## How Marksmanship Works Marksmanship also uses **Focus**: 1. **Aimed Shot:** your heaviest shot, with a cast time and charges. It is the heart of the spec. 2. **Rapid Fire:** a quick stream of shots that works on the move and generates Focus. 3. **Spend Focus:** Arcane Shot is your quick attack for spare Focus and can reduce the cooldown of Rapid Fire. 4. **Trueshot:** your big cooldown, more critical strikes and much faster recharging Aimed Shots and Rapid Fire. The **Farstriders** under Ranger-General **Sylvanas Windrunner** defended the elven kingdom until Arthas ravaged it in the Third War. Sylvanas later became the Banshee Queen and leader of the Forsaken, but her reputation as Azeroth's greatest archer remained. That makes WoW Midnight especially exciting, because the expansion returns to Quel'Thalas, home of the rangers.
