Playstyle

The Warrior fights with Rage, which builds as it deals and takes damage. Classic Warriors are defined by stances: Battle, Defensive and Berserker Stance each unlock different abilities, and good Warriors switch between them constantly.
Background and lore
In the classic world, the warrior is the soldier of the first hour: guards, mercenaries and gladiators of every race. Warriors learn their stances step by step through class quests, Defensive Stance early and Berserker Stance later. Warriors need no spells, only Rage and good gear. In Classic especially, leveling was slow with weak gear, but well geared the warrior became the star of every raid.
Talent trees
Arms
Arms is the leveling tree: a big two-handed weapon, Sweeping Strikes against groups and Mortal Strike at the end. In Classic, Arms was also the top choice in PvP, because Mortal Strike weakens healing.
Signature abilities: Sweeping Strikes, Mortal Strike
Fury
Fury is the damage tree for groups and raids, often with two weapons. With Death Wish and Bloodthirst the warrior hits brutally hard, but needs healers in the back.
Signature abilities: Death Wish, Bloodthirst
Protection
Protection is the tank tree. In Classic, warriors were the tanks, because hardly any other class could take as much. Shield Slam, Last Stand and Shield Wall make the warrior a rock in the storm.
Signature abilities: Shield Slam, Last Stand, Shield Wall
Who is the Warrior for in Forever?
A good fit if you … want to tank, have patience and look forward to group play.
Not ideal if you … want fast, relaxed solo leveling. Without self-healing, the Warrior needs lots of breaks to eat.
New in Forever
In WoW Forever, the new Skyborne can be Warriors on both sides. Like every class, the Warrior gets an extra milestone talent in each tree.
