Playstyle
The Priest heals with big spells, protects with Power Word: Shield and buffs the group with Power Word: Fortitude. In Shadowform it becomes a damage dealer with damage over time. Mind Control and Psychic Scream provide control.
Background and lore
In the classic world, every priest race had spells of its own: dwarves protected against fear with Fear Ward, night elves called down Starshards, undead spread a devouring plague. So the same priest felt a little different for every race. Those who played to the end could earn an epic staff of Light or Shadow through a quest chain from Molten Core.
Talent trees
Discipline
Discipline strengthens shields, mana and support. Power Infusion briefly makes an ally stronger, and Inner Focus makes your next spell free. A tree for players who like to make others shine.

Holy
Holy is the pure healer. Lightwell lets you place a source of healing, and even after death Spirit of Redemption keeps healing. The classic raid healer.

Shadow
Shadow is the damage tree. In Shadowform you flay minds, inflict pain and heal yourself through Vampiric Embrace. The most comfortable choice for leveling a priest.

Who is the Priest for in Forever?
A good fit if you … want to heal and play a class groups always need.
Not ideal if you … want a sturdy solo class, since the Priest is vulnerable in cloth.
