Playstyle

The Warlock applies curses and damage over time and summons demons such as the Imp, Voidwalker or Succubus. It collects Soul Shards, creates Healthstones and Soulstones and can summon teammates. Drain Life keeps it alive.
Background and lore
In the classic world, the warlock learns every demon through a class quest of its own: first the Voidwalker, later the Succubus and Felhunter. At level 40 a quest grants the Felsteed, and in Classic the epic Dreadsteed came after a long quest chain in Dire Maul. Hardly any class had so many memorable class quests.
Talent trees
Affliction
Affliction improves curses and damage over time. You afflict enemies with Corruption and Siphon Life and move on to the next while the first is still withering. Very efficient for leveling.
Signature abilities: Corruption, Siphon Life
Demonology
Demonology strengthens your demons. Soul Link shares damage with your companion, and Demonic Sacrifice trades it for a strong bonus. The sturdiest way to play a warlock.
Signature abilities: Soul Link, Demonic Sacrifice
Destruction
Destruction is about direct fire and shadow damage. Shadowburn finishes enemies in one blow, and Conflagrate ignites them again. In Classic the choice for raids.
Signature abilities: Shadowburn, Conflagrate
Who is the Warlock for in Forever?
A good fit if you … level solo a lot, like companions and enjoy the dark fantasy.
Not ideal if you … want to tank or heal.
New in Forever
The Troll Warlock is a new race and class combination.
